Cole Pototsky was born and raised in Saint Mary’s County, Maryland. He attended Saint Mary’s College of Maryland and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. After college, Cole served in the U.S. Army as an infantry platoon leader in the First Armor Division and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2011. Cole reached the rank of 1st Lieutenant before being honorably discharged. Cole graduated cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law. During law school, Cole was a student attorney in the Saul Ewing Civil Advocacy Clinic and represented low-income individuals in housing, consumer protection, and administrative law matters. Following law school, Cole served as the judicial law clerk to Judge Althea M. Handy in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.

Cole was admitted to the Maryland bar in 2017 and the Washington, D.C. bar in 2019. Cole is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association. Cole concentrates his practice on the defense of workers’ compensation and general liability claims in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
